Coffee by Ronin Youngblood

Liquid things can sometimes seem rusted.
Liquids can’t rust.
So,
When they show themselves to be of industrial strength,
You must trust the material’s volume.

[Trust in it’s form and the resolution of
similar formations.]

Do so
stovetop.
To bring the minced substance to a
Gentle boil.
It’s cylindrical inner mechanism will provide as expected.

It’s bitter…
but my palette is accustomed to it’s nuance.
I’d be lying if I said I could
Function
Without it.

Ronin Youngblood is a project created and developed by a 22-year old artist in Miami, Florida, USA. The project delves into the varieties of counterculture in the contemporary social media space and how social media has shaped these niches by reinforcing socio-political hierarchies such as imperialism, settler-colonialism, and racism.

The project, through contemporary-romantic dada prose and visual dada photography, seeks to pull out as much resilience, grit, and iron from the writer's own heart as is bearable.
