What is an Anthology?
An anthology is a collection of writing by multiple authors. In this case, it is a collection of poems, short stories, and creative non-fiction pieces on the theme: Scream it at the Back Wall.
For this anthology, we’re inviting you to pour out your feelings through words. Tell us what makes you angry, what frustrates you, what upsets you more than anything else – no matter how big or small. Put it into a poem, short story, or creative non-fiction piece and send it our way. We want to hear it.
What's in it for you?
Your poem or short story will be included in our seventh anthology.
You will receive a free contributor’s copy of the anthology.
A $50 honorarium for each accepted submission.
An invitation to do a reading of your work at our launch party.
What are the guidelines?
You may submit up to three pieces in one entry. Please submit each piece as a separate file in both pdf and Word format.
Times New Roman or Calibri 12pt font.
Your name should not appear anywhere in your submission.
Poems should be single spaced, one poem per page.
Short stories should be double spaced.
Maximum length for short stories is 1000 words - anything longer will not be considered.
Maximum of 90 lines per poem.
All submissions must be previously unpublished (personal blogs and websites are okay - the piece being published in another magazine, books, collection, blog, etc. is not).
Submissions are open to writers around the world.
Pieces must be about the theme "Scream it at the Back Wall."
Submissions that are hateful, disrespectful, or intolerant will be immediately disqualified.
Provide a short bio telling us about yourself (100 words max.) in the available space in the submission.

Every poem should be single spaced and use a 12 pt Times New Roman or Calibri font. Please make sure your submission file is both .doc and .pdf.
When will I know if my submission has been accepted?
You will be contacted through email regarding the status of your submission 1-2 months after the call for submissions has closed.
