What is Patreon?
Patreon is a platform that allows creators to connect directly with their community. As a member of a Patreon community, not only are you supporting the community, you would be privy to exclusive behind-the-scenes content.
Why Patreon?
The Soap Box has always been dedicated to building community. While we have some fundraising goals (which will be described below), we are committed to providing a space for writers to connect. While there are many fundraising models that work, we thought that Patreon would be the best fit for our extended community-based goals.
What Are You Fundraising For?
In an effort to be transparent with our patrons, we are committed to providing information about our goals. Our first goal is to hit 100 patrons which will allow us to print Throat on Fire and open submissions exclusively for BIPoC writers for our next chapbook.
