Drives We Went On by Hamid Chouhan

In the silence of the night
I recall all those times
short and long drives, we went on

Sometimes under the guidance of the moon
and other times, under the light of the glorious sun
We drove without destination, endlessly, solely for our little journey

We drove quietly at times
enjoying the melody of our breathing
or telling stories of our childhood friends and innocent romance

There was something about those drives
When it was just you, me and a clock frozen in time

Your voice was music to my ears
and your tales, best part of my day
In those moments, we were making memories for a lifetime
