AN OPPORTUNITY TO PUBLISH A COLLECTION OF YOUR POETRY IN PRINT 

What is a ChapBook?

An opportunity to submit an unpublished manuscript of your poetry - 30 pages or less - that if chosen, will be published and distributed as a print book in our store.

To be considered, we ask for a payment of $25.00 CAD per submission in support of The Soap Box and our ongoing projects. 


What's in it for you?

Your manuscript will be published as a print book.

You receive three free hard copies of the book.

Advertisement, distribution, and promotion through The Soap Box website and social  media profiles.

Royalties. We love our writers and believe they should be compensated for their work.


What can I submit?

A manuscript of unpublished poetry. That means it can not have appeared in any other print or digital publication.
30 pages or less, one poem per page.
If your submission fails to meet these guidelines, it will be automatically eliminated.
You can submit as many times as you'd like, but please note that each submission requires a $25.00 payment. 


Anyone from anywhere. All that matters to us is your talent and your poetry! Please note that multiple authors are welcome, as long as the poems have not been previously published.

Who can submit?


Email your manuscript to submissions@thesoapboxwrites.com as two attachments: one as a .pdf and one as a .doc. Your manuscript should only have the title of your work and the poems - one poem per page. Your name, or any identifiers should NOT appear within the body of the work, otherwise your submission will be eliminated. 

The subject of your email should be : First name, Last name “Title of Submission.”

The body of your email should include a short bio - 100 words or less. Don't forget to let us know where you're from. We love to see how near, or far, around the world The Soap Box has travelled. 

Every poem should be single spaced and use a 12 pt Times New Roman or Calibri font.

I submit?


Make your payment through PayPal here.
If you send your submission without a payment, it will be eliminated. Once your submission and payment are received, you will be notified through email.
